The SNFCC also incorporates important elements of environmental sustainabil- ity: the building has harmoniously been built into a very large hillside park char- acterized by an artificial canal and by a walkway that connects the site to the beach front. The Center aspires to becoming a refer- ence for Greece’s future, as well as be- ing a stimulus for the country’s economic recovery: the aim is to offer a space in which it is truly possible to physically and mentally perceive, preserve, and transmit the country’s great cultural patrimony as a rich resource at the disposal of future generations.
